Hi all, a colleague of mine told me about digestive enzymes. I have been taking then for a few weeks, I find it settles the uneAsiness on the tummy. I had a tough go though this morning...
Anyone has tired them? Also I am trying to gain weight as I am unable to eat avocados, bananas, nuts, milk, cheese, soy any suggestions?

They seem to help me. I use the brand “quest”. I wouldn’t say they’re life changing but if I have a day where I’m likely to eat more of my triggers I find taking them does seem to ease the consequences!
They helped me quite a bit. But their effect takes long. But it’s not advisable to use them continuously also. My doctor would prescribe for a few weeks then ask me to take a break from them for 2 weeks. They are helpful but effect is slow.
Good morning Kim, I use Quest - Digestive Enzymes with peppermint oil - these contain betaine HCl for low stomach acid and these are my favourite, I have had betaine HCl on its own and they have not been as good as the one with the Enzymes.
There is a healthy eating forum - that would be able to offer lots of advice on heathly food
My diet used to be really pared down and there was little I could tolerate. Since taking Alflorex probiotic which has been scientifically studied for IBS (alongside Linaclotide forIBS-C) I have been able to tolerate far far more foods even wholemeal bread and many high fodmap foods. Other people have mentioned that they have been able to eat more normally on Alflorex. It's available on a free 2 month trial on joining theibsnetwork.org. Just a thought.
Hi,I have an appointment with my GP in another week, and after reading about AlflorexProbiotic I’m going to see what she says. I think it was you I read it from, because I’m also going to ask her for the Valium suppositories.
I think that’s been one of the best advise I’ve had on here, for me personally.👍🏻🌹
