Have you been tested for Bile Acid Malabsorption? Ask your GP about it. It is not something they consider very often.

Do you have BAM? I am not sure of the symptoms of it, I have had terrible diarrhoea for about 4 months now and I am also type 2 diabetic and my sugars have been crashing a lot just lately as well but the doctors can’t find out why, I have had blood tests and an ultra sound scan but the scan could not show much due to excess gas in my colon.

How do you know it was because you ate that you had to run to the loo? You might have been taken short even if you had eaten nothing. This has happened to me many times. Probably because there is material already in the colon which gets expelled while the new meal is being digested in the normal way. If you do nothing else take a dessert spoonful of sauerkraut thirty minutes before each meal. It tastes abominable but it really helps. And take two sea kelp tablets before bed every night. Now I am well. No pain. No pads. No panic. No poo. Don’t jump to conclusions. You know the true story of the medic who was about to vaccinate a baby but before she could carry out the procedure the child took an epileptic seizure. Fortunately, the father was present so he witnessed the fact that no injection had been administered. The doctor said that even she would have blamed the injection for the convulsions had it taken place.

Also get yourself checked for bam.

You can certainly get it from health food shops but it’s cheaper in supermarkets. The only trouble with supermarkets is that it flies off the shelves so you have to be quick. Also, if you get the runs a lot you could be losing potassium which is very dangerous. They are very good in health shops. They will put you on the right track. Con amore Bx

So I quickly checked BAM on this site

healthline.com/health/bile-...

Not saying this is the whole picture but if you scroll down to probiotics after reading the explanations there is a handy list including sauerkraut. I often make ginger tea although probably not as strong as they say (2 tbspns in a cup of hot water). It has helped me with nausea and slightly upset stomach.
