I have irritable bowel syndrome and also find it hard to remember to take my tablets, currently mebeverine. I've just found a new technique to remember my medication: store it right next to the dinner plates, and have just moved it there. However, tonight I cannot remember if I took a tablet earlier this evening, somewhere between 3 and 7 hours ago. My bloated, uncomfortable midriff suggests that I probably did not take mebeverine then. I would like to take a tablet to see if that settles my bowels but I don't want to take too much mebeverine in too short a space of time, in case I did take a tablet then. I really wish that I could remember what I did just a few hours ago! Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

mebeverine dose spacing
It's a bit to late for this occasion but perhaps it might be worth putting 3 (if that is how many you take each day) in a little pot with the dinner plates each morning. That way you will be able to see what you have taken and what you have left to take.
I have the same kind of issue as I take two of my meds one day and one another day. In the end I purchased a plastic pill box from the chemist with days of the week written on each tiny compartment and fill it each week. It works!
You should take it 20 mins before food so have 1 as soon as you get up. Then again before lunch and dinner time. Set a reminder on your phone
If you have a smart phone, put a reminder in it for your meal times. If those times vary, put it in at the start of each day. Good idea to put the tablets by your plates. I take quite a few different tablets each day and keep them in a dispenser pot. Dispensers will tell you if you took them or not.
I have a pill case with seven plastic daily pill dispensers each day marked mon tue wed ect ect with AM lunch dinner PM on each day, once a week I have to sort the pills into the correct day and time. Got mine off eBay for about £4
