Yes mine is a fungal infection either Candidas or Mi something. It sounds exactly the same. It's much much worse than just some constipation. I think mine is actually Dermafytosis not sure which fungus. I have the infection in my skin hair and scalp and it seems to be in deep layers of my skin possibly tissue as well. the parasitic toxins spread and grow and the toxic particles sort of weld bind or glues the bowels or skin together. U fortunately having this has been a living nightmare and Impossible to find treatment for possibly due to lack of education or proper accurate testing available. I believe some of it is actually no good Dr.s turning a blind eye to it because the medication used to treat it is very hard on liver and they fear law suit bei g filed. I hope you have better luck with your Dr. and re eiving treatment for this. Please keep me updated

I don’t know you coukd try giving yourself enemas hope you’re drinking extra water taking your laxatives like more than usual you need too. Maybe you have acid reflux not sure. I k ow I have same but not sure why

Assuming that you stool sample comes back OK and you are diagnosed with IBS-C (constipation dominant IBS), I have IBS-C and have been prescribed Linaclotide for it and I am also taking Alflorex probiotic which has been scientifically studied for IBS. These in combination have reduced the pain I am in considerably and I have been able to tolerate more foods so that I am able to consume the extra fibre I need to have a BM including oatbran, all bran (if tolerated), 1 tablespoon of ground flaxseed, 9 prunes, 2 tablespoon chia seeds and shredded wheat (or GF version: Nutribrex) for breakfast, plus quinoa, wholewheat bread and whole grain pastas at other meals. These fruits are particularly high fibre and can help with BMs: hard pears, dried apricots, raspberries, oranges (contain a natural laxative) & 2 kiwi. I find that I need to have 1 orange a day and then another high fibre fruit later in the day to help with BMs. In some people the Linaclotide also helps a lot with BMs which is its primary purpose.

There is some good advice about constipation here:

theibsnetwork.org/constipat...

theibsnetwork.org/constipat...

Often dietitians will recommend to start with a teaspoon of ground flaxseed (e.g. soaked with your breakfast cereal or soaked with water) and increase every 3 days or so, to see if this bulks out your stools. Extra fluid intake during the day is also needed (preferably not tea or coffee) since fibre soaks up moisture to work, otherwise you can risk further constipation.

I am currently experimenting with soaking grains, to reduce phytic acid content which can block the absorption of some minerals. It also makes them more digestible.

I also take 30 drops of ginger extract before bedtime to aid motility. You may need to work up the dose to say 7 drop increments each night.

Some people say that enteric coated peppermint can help with pain.

I have been giving Optifibre a go, which has been helping but I need to be careful with the amount since it gives me gas.

Exercise can help with BMs. The government recommends 150 mins of moderate exercise (e.g. walking as if you are late for an appointment) or 75 of intense exercise (e.g. jogging) per week. I also have a bit of a walk around straight after breakfast to get things moving.

You need to ensure that you are drinking enough fluids (2 litres of fluid per day).

If you really get stuck you can try 800mg+ of Magnesium Oxide. I used to take these for a regular bowel movement when having to be low fibre:

myvitamins.com/vitamins/mag...

I used to start around 800mg at bed time on an empty stomach, then increment by 100mg (1 pill) each night until I got a response the next morning or the morning after. Most of it goes straight to your bowels where it draws in water to bulk out stools.

This worked well when I was low fibre, but when I started to introduce fibre it became more unpredictable (either not working well enough or too well), so I had to give it up.

Good luck.

I am rather concerned that you are unable to pass wind, as this is an indication of an obstructed bowel. If your bowel is obstructed then you need to go to ER as soon as, because your bowel (intestines) can explode from the pressure. If you are "just" blocked then the following may help:- 2 Kiwi fruits per day , a minimum of 2 litres of water per day, a minimum of a one mile brisk walk per day. It may help to take a 1g suppository as this is only likely to assist the intestines and bowel to recommence working as it is too small to force you to poop. If you wish to have an enema then you should contact your pharmacist as some are only available on prescription.
