Upper right-sided back pain

I was wondering if anyone is experiencing upper right sided back pain, just at the base of ribs radiating upwards please? It keeps me awake every night, really really uncomfortable. I'm also awaiting a flexible sigmoidoscopy as I've had loose offensive stools since the beginning of the year mainly at night, it really makes me feel unwell at times too, has anyone experienced something like this?

I’m currently in quite a severe IBS flare and I have pain in my right kidney and gallbladder. For me IBS makes everything from my stomach downwards painful one way or another. But with this flare specifically it’s in the area you have your pain.

I'm no doctor, but the pain sounds like it is in the region of your gall bladder. You could possibly have gallstones
