Hi Jacqui, Does Gax-X help you any? It's not real expensive and all grocery stores have it. Also, walking around a bit now and then helps a great deal. When I 'just sit'... I kinda of bring things to a halt! :) Good luck.

Hi Jac,

It is Gas-X.... (with a s) and it is a pill designed to relieve bloating... It can be given to children as well as adults, so you know its 'safe'... one of the ingredients being simethicone which helps to UNtrap, trapped gas. Maybe you could try it...and hopefully it will help you! That would be good! Have a good day. I live in Denver. :) So I get my Gas-X at a Kroger/King Soopers store.

Hi Jaqui

This is a horrible IBS symptom - no wonder you feel miserable. I find these things help:

The Fodmap diet - you may have an intolerance to fructans (or other sugars) it's very very common in ppl with IBS.

Heat - a hot water bottle or heat pad. I use this back wrap but wrapped backwards so the heat is on my front hotwaterbottles.net/royal-b...

Lightly massaging your tummy and bowel (sometimes it's too painful, I know)

Exercise - if you find cardio too much at the moment try light yoga

Hot water or herbal tea - keep it simple with peppermint or camomile

Also try to address any stresses you have in your life.

Hope this helps! :)

Hi Heather is right you have to look at what you are eating and work

out whats upsetting your gut. You will find lots of information if you

check out the Fodmap diet, its full of dos and donts so you can check

by elimination what foods best suit you. All her other advice is very

good as well.

Good luck.

Thanks Shirlygirl. I'm definitely going to start looking at the good nap.

I had a fairly heavy weekend at a friends. She cooked a lovely meal with saon but I had a few pieces of white crusty bread and butter and I'm wondering if its been the B&b that's kicked it off.

Have you tried leaving wheat out of your diet.which incl udes bread and all products made with wheat. I was ill in Austria recently and the Dr prescribed Fennel tea- which I found very helpful. you can buy fennel capsules in a health food shop and they are not expensive and well worth a try. Hope this may help.

Thank you robrascal. I had a test for coeliac intolerance but they sai it was negative. I do believe bread may be a factor although not the complete cause. I will try the fennel remedies. I will try anything to be honest if I thought it would help

Try symprove. Only on my 3rd week and my constipation, bloating, exhaustion are almost a thing of the past. Bloating went 1st and don't have to wear elasticated clothes anymore. All the best
