I have never been diagnosed with ibs but I definitely think I have it. I really would like to do a food intolerance test to see if it can give me answers as a client of mine did it and worked wonders for her as her skin flared up as does mine. I mostly suffer from d but now when I take imodium usually I have to once a week then I go the other way and can have terrible pain I don't know what's worse. I know some of my trigger foods it's just finding a balance. I also get really panicked if I'm not near a toilet like the day after a night drinking and takeaway. I can go a week perfectly normal then it hits and I can't cope. I've read that it's also a very emotional illness too. I feel like sometimes you cant tell which food or drink has triggered as it could have been building up inside you for days?! Anyway I'm enjoying reading more about it and as soon as this is over I'm going to doctor for a diagnosis. In the mean time I'm thinking of definately trying the fi test. Take care x

You don't need to wait for covid to be over to discuss your symptoms with your GP via a phone consultation and perhaps get a stool sampling kit sent to you. I wouldn't wait.
Please don't waste your money on food intolerance tests - there is no scientific basis for them. Please read this:

Your client may only have landed on something by chance.
The only way to test food intolerances is via a FODMAP elimination & reintroduction diet. However you'll need a formal diagnosis prior to proceeding with this and I'd always recommend trying probiotics such as Alflorex or Symprove first in case symptoms are related to an gut bacterial imbalance since you could start eliminating foods unnecessarily.
Please search for my post called "How I overcame IBS-D". There is a lengthy explanation in there. Good luck.
Agree with xjrs. Talk to your GP, have the necessary tests and if IBS ask for a referral to a dietician for FODMAP diet.
