Are wild garlic leaves ok raw and/or cooked for FODMAP diets? There are plenty around just now and I was wondering about freezing them.

Thanks, Roger for your helpful and considered response. This is my first ever reply from a question I've asked on this site. I was hoping for guidance from someone with experience of IBS. It's not for me, it's for my daughter, newly diagnosed. Wishing you good health, comfort, happiness and support from other participants.

I’ve had a look as I was wondering too - it’s not a solid source but this recipe she states she’s done the research and it’s to be approached with caution and depending on the individual can be used more so than normal garlic. So I suppose it’s a matter of giving it a go if your daughter is keen to? Maybe Roger was right in his albeit impolite response!

We would suggest you ask your GP to refer you to a Dietitian that specializes in IBS, what may be a trigger for one person may not be a trigger for another.

You could also try keeping a wellness diary that will help identify triggers whether that be food or stress and anxiety theibsnetwork.org/shop/supp...
