Hi i have had the szme symptoms before and my Gp prescribed me a high dose of Lanzoprazol and they really helped all the symptoms were gone.

Of course it can, if the bowel stops working t all the other organs start to get foggy and stop working properly. However, are you sure that it is not another condition that is causing the burning and reflux/ dizziness? Omeprazole is another drug that sorts out the GERD and burning of the esophagus, but it does have multiple side effects. Having said that, I have been taking it for over 15 years now.

I have had neither from Omeprazole.

Yes, acid reflux can cause pain like that. Omeprazole is the most efficient acid controller but it's not particularly good for you long time. Other ternatives are Zantac or Ranitidine. If you are in the U.S. you might not be able to get those so try Cimitidine. Hope this helps.

Have you recently started taking a new PPI for acid reflux? The first PPI I was given for Acid Reflux made me dizzy and then I switched to esomeprazole (Nexium) and I was fine on that. Have you been referred to a fodmap trained dietitian to take you through the fodmap elimination and reintroduction diet? Reflux and IBS can go hand in hand. IBS can involve a build up of gases that increases pressure on the valve that sits between the stomach and the throat allowing contents to flow back. If you have any particularly bad food intolerances those gases can be worse, worsening reflux. Eliminating what you are intolerant to through a fodmap diet can decreases gases and therefore reflux.
