I'm a little confused as to how I'm doing. I took two tablets of Flucloaxillin in May and got very very unwell and haven't been the same since. Im a touring musician who's had gigs a few times a month thus taking around one dose of imodium once per week since October. I've found the effects to last up to 9 days sometimes but can't tell if it's me getting better or the power of the drug. I used to eat wreckless and still do (cut out garlic, onions, greens and fizzes) but still have chocolate and pizza and stay fine for DAYS. Would this be the imodium or am I recovering? I've stuck to white breads and pasta too which isn't ideal but treats me very well on the bathroom front but recently been able to even stomach minor spicy food and generally not notice any anger. Is it safe to take one a week?
I had a bad morning but ate very stodgy yesterday but did have a ton of cake this week and different cheeses due to parties. Ugh, Christmas and ibs! 🙁

I am baffled as to why, when one has found a diet that works, you have to go and spoil it and require to know whether you can push it any further. My personal view is, if it works don't fix it, DO NOT PUSH IT, because IBS has a nasty habit of coming back to bite you on the bum (sometimes literally)!
Well.. That's the thing, I am sticking to white bread and pasta aswell as no tomatoes, mushrooms, onions and garlic. But 2 weeks ago my brother came over and we had a mexican which didn't effect me whatsoever so I thought ah, things looking up. Wrong of course. Think I went overboard this week
Little confused with your post -so I have more questions than answers. Does your GP know of the effect of the antibiotic you took ? Did he/she suggest taking probiotics to counter act your symptoms? Why have you changed your diet? Do you really need Imodium once a week if your BM's are 9 days apart(I think)? Hope you get yourself sorted. Good Luck
The doctor who prescribed me the antis said nothing about probiotics. Nothing. I saw 12 doctors from May til August who told me to try yoghurt and it made me much worse...concerning thing is I only took two tablets and had months worth of hell.
