So after my long awaited hospital appointment with a gastroenterologist, I have been given the low fod map doest to follow (something I did anyway other than wheat containing products) and been referred to a dietitian and a test for SIBO. However I work shifts and I'm struggling to find meals that are filling for breakfast lunch and tea as well as feasible for work ( microwave only to heat up) I have tried gulten free pitta and waffle since the appointment but feel they are a no go now as yesterday in the early hours have a massive flare up, never progressed into diarrhoea but went 12 times and there was a lot of it, I was in immense cramping pains and was almost sick. It's my first day back at work after 2 weeks off and now I'm laying here thinking what the hell am I going to eat today and praying (very anxious) about been I'll at work. I really want to stick tkt he low fod map so when I go back to the GI if I'm having symptoms still its proof something else is going on. Anyone got any good breakfast, lunch and dinner meals or recipes that would work for me. (Also eggs don't really agree with me)

Also since that flare I have just got alot of yellow mucus coming out.
That's bile...you probably have bile acid malabsorption....
I mentioned this to the GI. He said if the sibo test was negative that he would give me the treatment for BAM.
You can have rice crispies and cornflakes for breakfast on fodmap diet, could put allowable fruit on top. I’ve started having rice cakes as an alternative to bread, at lunch with cheese, tomato, cucumber. Or what about a baked potato. Once you see a dietician it will be Clearer, there will be things you didn’t realise you could eat, as well as some you can’t! A lot of trial and error. You could download the kings College London app, it’s really helpful. Good luck
Have your doctor prescribe any of these 3 meds for you: Welchol, Colestipol, and/or Questran. All 3 of these will stop chronic diarrhea in it's "crappy" tracks! I take Colestipol: 2 tablets, twice a day...2 in the morning and 2 in the evening. You can take up to 6 per day if needed...

We understand it's difficult. Have you looked on our website. We have recipes available theibsnetwork.org/news/reci...
