Ibs nausea
Yep! In my specific case I have nausea on and off all day, dull stomach aches, and loose stools. I've tried everything--colonoscopy, endoscopy, herbs, probiotics, teas, peppermint, etc. Have you found any relief?
Dr has given me Omeprazole but I thought that was for acid. Reluctant to take it as the side effects can be the same as the symptoms I have got. Due to see consultant Monday who I saw three years ago, but know he will say colonoscopy. Don’t know whether to try tablets to see if they work. Don’t want another colonoscopy!
I don't blame you for not wanting another colonoscopy, as I don't think it will solve much of anything anyway (aside from being a pain). My GP gave me the same medication for stomach acid and it didn't work for me. What tablets are you thinking of taking?
I’ve found no relief for the nausea other than waiting for it to go let me know if you find something that actually works but ginger is meant to be good x
I take Stugeron travel sick tablets and they do work for me.
Just looked up symptoms of stomach cancer. Weight loss, no appetite, nausea, indigestion etc. Wish I had never looked!
Do you get nausea on and off all day and no appetite
Absolutely I do. It's just been brought to my attention that my thyroid levels are low, so that could be at play for the both of us. Just a thought.
Thanks. Fed up of it. Really worried as losing weight. See consultant Monday. I know he will say the dreaded endoscopy again!
I had one of those earlier this year. I lost 15 pounds too. Slowly regaining the weight. Maybe get a scan instead? Less worry attached to that, I’d think.
Worried to death just looked up symptoms of stomach cancer. Loss of appetite, unintended weight loss, stomach pain, indigestion, bloating, nausea. Wish I had never looked!
Yeah, Googling your symptoms is a catch-22. You always want to inform yourself and know what tests to ask for, but everything will always come up as cancer or fatal. Don't worry--those symptoms describe 100% of the people on this site.
Yes I know exactly how You feel
With me my nausea won’t come all the time it depends what I’ve ate the night before and if I have abdominal pain then my nausea gets much worse and I feel like Even fainting at that point I have to fan myself to get air on me as feel hot and then feel chilly too and also I tend not to drink much water but when this happens I feel like I could neck a whole bottle so have to lean over the bath as can’t move with cramps and the water immediately helps either drinking it or splashing my face or both and I have to take buscopan which really helps the pain go away which starts settling the nausea. Then when nausea settles I have a burning belly for ages after.. and sometimes it’s more than one trip to the toilet and if the nausea gets really bad I have to throw up bile.. used to not be able to cope and it would last all day not holding anything down even went hospital and they said it was food poisoning before I was diagnosed with ibs but since having the buscopan, when it gets this bad I can cope with the help of buscopan and water etc.. and just the coping mechanism I’ve learn to deal with it when it all comes on.. sometimes can have no symptoms at all in a day but I think I really need to change my diet to see a difference.. that isn’t all of what I suffer but a majority of how a typical IBS day works for me.. I’ve now been given Mebeverine but wondering will it help or should I take it as usually took Buscopan when I felt awful poo cramps coming but these tablets are meant to be 20 mins before meals.. so could do with some advice on those You aren’t alone anyway.. with us IBS sufferers our symptoms are never exactly the same but we are all going through the same xx
