IBS and Nausea?

SamanthaBuckland profile image

Hi guys,

I’m new here but just wanted to ask fellow IBS sufferers whether any of you have felt sick every morning that you wake up due to IBS? I’m finding it particularly bad these past couple of weeks. Any advice? :)

I feel sick a lot. It does get worse and sometimes I don’t feel sick. But it’s not unusual to feel sick, especially in the morning. I think it has a lot to do with low level anxiety due to IBS. XX

I’m glad it’s not just me. Yeah I’ve just been diagnosed with Anxiety.. it’s so hard. Doctors now got me trying a lactose free and wheat free diet to help xx

I have Generalised Anxiety Disorder, OCD and IBS. So, yuk! The anxiety, nausea and IBS is a vicious circle.....I can’t always tell if I’m having a random IBS flare-up and it’s making me anxious, or if I’m having an anxiety attack and that’s giving me IBS. X

Crikey. That’s a lot to deal with 😔 yeah I know the feeling - it is defo a vicious circle and each one flares the other one up! Hope your okay though 😊 x

Every Morning without fail, can last until middayish. I hate it but 13 years on and its still with me. Nothing has helped to ease it so I just accept it and wait for later in the day. Of course, when I get bloated or my digestive system is having a bad time, it's miserable. All you can do is your best to keep it to a minimum. Sympathy to you and all.

That’s what mine is like, normally after 11/12, the sickness goes away but it’s really bad in the mornings when I first wake up 😔 I’m so sorry you are suffering with this too! Sympathy to you too!

I take a regime of inulation, body biotics, sea aloe liquid whole food vitiamin, elderberry extract, glutamine and moducare for my IBS. They are natural things and my IBS is tolerable. I have had the neausea you talk about now and then but I also take in the evening, thymex for immune, beta TCP for liver function, Folic acid for nerve function, calcium and vitamin D for bones and chezyn for macular degeneration to help reverse it. So all in all I am fairly healthy now more so then I have ever been. I went to a natural Pathic type doctor not a regular physician because I am either intolerant or allergic to most medication on the market. IBC throws your immune system off and your nervous system will be bad too if your like me. Glutamine helps with the muscle function in the gut, I don’t have as much cramping as I used too have. Moducare, Thymex and elderberry help with the immune system getting it regulated to some what normal. I don’t get as neaseated now with the nerves under control which folic acid helps with that. Hope this helps

Wow that’s a lot of vitamins, but I’m really glad you’ve found something that helps! I might try a couple and see how I get on. My worst symptoms are pain, cramping & bloating :( the bloating is defo the worst & Dr has suggested peppermint oil. I’m also doing a lactose free and wheat free diet to see if it help. But thank you for sharing :) very kind of you x

I get nausea with my flare ups. Dr gave me some antiemetics which do help sometimes.
