I had an gastroscopy and colonoscopy in the April just gone. I was taking esomeperazole all the way up to when I had the procedure. I have read that you are meant to stop them a while before. But I wasn’t told about it.
And now I’m worried I’ve masked something they could have found? Anyone else been in this position?

Speak to your GP or consultant. What made you realize you forgot to stop taking meds 3/4 months ago? Did you forget, or were you worried that they may find something, and subconsciously tried to screw the results? (These are the sort of questions you are going to be asked).
I was told quite clearly by the doctor & I’m sure it said in the gastroscopy appointment letter to stop taking medication for acid reflux 2 weeks before so they can properly see what’s going on. I think they even asked again when I had the prep before it. There are no such instructions for the colonoscopy I also had but they weren’t done together. You should definitely tell your doctor or specialist that you didn’t stop taking them.
