weird ankle!

Has anyone had slightly strange sensation in their ankle? Last night my ankle had a slight ache, not painfull, and very mild kind of pins and needles?

Did it feel like something was pushing on it? Which ankle? Your left?

No just a dull ache, it has in fact dissapeared now, but thank you.

Hi, I have been suffering from ibs-d for past year now, and this ankle thing has been bothering me on and off the whole time! I've had colonoscopy and loads of blood tests but all come back negative. When I mention the ankle to GP he ignores it and wants to focus on my 'primary' symptoms. Along with my ankles, my feet, hands, and wrists also seem to be affected. Could be some sort of neuropathy, I take a multivitamin and that has reduced the pins and needles but I still get a dull ache in my ankle at random times. I'd recommend cytoplan multivitamin, it helped me.

Hi Kasperium, as the original poster hasn't responded to either of our replies, I thought I would reply to you about your theory. I must admit I didn't know what neuropathy was but have looked into it and you may be on to something there. I have always thought it was down to referred pain but whenever I bring the subject up, nobody else seems to have anything like it. But it still feels like referred pain to me. Any thoughts?! Maureen.

It has actually gone now. I didn't think it had anything to do with my IBS, but thank you.
