Hello hope everyone's ok. I was just wondering does anyone else get lower backpain in the night with IBS? the backpain disapears as soon as I get out of bed and start moving about.🙂

Yes, I get this because I suffer from chronic constipation..but it is more of an ache then pain. I think it is stool pressing on the vagus nerve. It goes away after I have a movement. If I'm still having back and shoulder pain..I have to take a prescribed muscle relaxer or Naproxen..which unfortunately only constipates me further. Have you tried portable tens unit for pain?

I think it might be gas from my IBS but not sure, I had the moviprep on Thursday before my colonoscopy and Friday was the only day I did not wake with backache.🙂

Yes! Me! I often have terrible back pain. All down to constipation (and it can linger after I’ve cleared any “backlog”). Some days it’s so painful I feel like I’m waddling. Definitely worse in the morning too. The only way I stay relatively back pain free is not to be constipated.....xx
