My morning routine is about three visits to the loo to get complete evacuation - just a recent thing since tummy bug when my bowel movements were more easy to pass - always been on constipated side but this is a new thing. Just glad I do not work now as it would be awful. All I want is to go to toilet once with complete evacuation and be done with it!

:( feel so sorry for you. Life isn’t easy when your stomach doesn’t play ball. It always seems to be more in the morning! Xx

Gotta go through it to understand and people who don't have it haven't got a clue - awful problem to have

What is your morning routine, does it kick in before or after breakfast?

Tends to be that I wake up stressed as soon as I’m awake without any control over it then I have cramps while I have breakfast then it all happens haha

It's sounding like anxiety is the problem. You need to be in control when you waken.. Why not do something that gives you control as soon as you get up, like go for a walk etc.

Do you have coffee at breakfast?

Yeah it’s strange I had it when I was in Asia obviously I was anxious because I was somewhere where my stomach could be a real issue. I had to cut out all caffeine when my stomach started like a year ago (sad) and cutting out gluten removed all the cramps. I never thought of that! I have a fitness routine I follow and maybe doing that straight away would help? Thankyou

Give it a go and see what happens.

Hi, I'm the same as you.

I seem to wake up anxious although I don't know why, then it seems to escalate during the morning. Then I get a flare up. Settles down a little during the day, then flares up again when I have my evening meal for a few hours. This sucks!

Doesn’t it suck! 100% the same I am anxious too but I’m safe in bed with my partner etc etc! Maybe it’s the unpredictability of the day for us IBS Sufferers!

Hi Horseriding19

I was diagnosed with IBS in 2005 and like you and most on this forum I can relate to how you're suffering! However my IBS is unpredictable which means I have months of no issue's then from out of the blue it hits me which I truly dislike!

I have no idea what brings it on or why it eventually stops after many days or weeks! I only wish I could recommend something to easy your symptoms that would make you smile innthe mornings.

For some reason I remember my consultant saying all those years back that 70 per cent of the population suffer with IBS at some point in there lives which to this day I cannot believe!

I must admit since drinking Actimel daily to improve my gut my colon feels much better!

Take care in the meantime
