Please check with your doctor. I have somewhat similar, but I have rapid transit through my gut, and have had for a decade. Your doctor will refer you to a specialist and someone who will ask for a stool sample (likely).
Though you shouldn't be worried about mucus in your stool. It coats the inside of your stomach and gut, and is usually mostly absorbed by the time you pass stool into the toilet.
However, if you have diarrhea, lots of mucus can come out. It isn't dangerous (as far as I know, but I'm not a doctor) but please check with your General Practitioner, as they are better equipped to give you advise.
