Fc cidal and dysbiocide. Plus probiotic, ginger tablet and digestive enzymes. I have only made small diet changes atm, plan to feed the bacteria then starve it.

I took colon care probiotic ReNew Life Ultimate Flora 80 billion. I couldn't take full dose (halved or even third the capsule) and checked my reaction to it. I could feel the fighting going on in my stomach for a few days as it killed off bad overgrowth (I like to think). I also had about 5 sessions of acupuncture dealing with stress and digestive issues. Somehow this combination seemed to have helped and my stomach got back to normal... Which is a huge relief. Everyone's different though but I recommend the above product (though expensive and taken in small doses seems to have helped me ). Best of luck x

Hi there, if it keeps coming back then i can only think of 2 explanations:

(i) the course of antibiotics is not long enough and enough bacteria is left that it keeps regrowing or;

(ii) there is an underlying reason for your SIBO which is going unresolved.

I think you need to look into the latter - is there anything that seemed to cause your SIBO? Could be food poisoning, low stomach acid e.g. PPI use, surgery, slow motility. This can be tricky to identify but if you can get to the root cause, fix that, then your SIBO should go away!!

Apparently I have been told that the antibiotic lasts 3 weeks then symptoms return for which you have to have antibiotic again and again. Best to look at alternatives rather than the antibiotics.
