Through out the whole night I feel and hear my stomach rumbiling and making these popping sojnds I. have had a heavy feeling in my stomach, and I've been having bowel problems for months. Sometimes it's extreme constipation other days it's non stop diarrhea. I also unfortunately fart a lot. And I've bloated super easy recently. I don't know if it's my diet or something is wrong with the way my body is processing food. Some days are really uncomfortable and I do get acid reflux after meals. I am 20 and a female by the way

Maybe your food is fermenting in the gut so suggest the FODMAP diet to start with. The heavy feeling in the tum and being female suggest a visit to your GP just to eliminate other problems. Good Luck
Thank you I'll look into it and yes I have a feeling this might be linked to something else but we shall see, I've got a doctor's appointment this week
I agree low fodmap can help. One thing to look up / get tested for is SIBO as this is treatable and your symptoms are consistent. You will need a breathe test to confirm and this is not always available on nhs
Also dysbiosis (the opposite of SIBO) is worth checking for. I tested negative for SIBO but it was actually a case of not enough bacteria, rather than too much.
How long have you had these symptoms? It’s always best to check in with your GP. I’ve had IBS for years - my constipation was actually causing my diarrhoea! I also have a hiatus hernia and acid reflux. My gut is very noisy at times. The one thing I’ve not had is bloating but lots of people on here have that.
Make an appointment to see your GP. In the meantime keep a diary of what you eat, your symptoms and any sudden effects of food. It’s best to be armed with as much of this info as possible with the GP, because lots of us have had not much help from our doctors initially. Don’t suggest to them you have IBS - let them do the work! Xx
Interesting, I have had this I feel for a year now, but it's been worse recently and I am under if it was due to the increased stress I had the past 5 months. I went to the doctor in November because I was constipated severely and not much was discussed afterwards. But thank you ! Xx
Constipation can cause diarrhoea. Basically what happens is that you become so backed up, you experience overflow diarrhoea. My gastro explained it to me this way: the gut is a big muscle, and to move along the contents, it has to move in spasms - like a caterpillar moves if that makes sense? If these contractions come across a wall of impacted poop, the muscle-action literally keeps hitting against it, over and over. This can cause a lot of pain or cramps. Basically all that poop gets mashed up and comes out as diarrhoea! Nice, huh?
I have lots of tests to rule out anything sinister and then I could get a handle on the constipation. I also eliminated wheat from my diet and lowered dairy. But I would push for some tests first. ❤️
Hey there, well reading your post, in my opinion it could be as a result of various factors. Might as well be a simple case of floral imbalance especially if you have been taking some medication or have had a change in diet.
My recommendation would be for you to try using probiotics. These are healthy bacteria which will help to balance gut flora and also get rid of any bacteria that may be causing these stomach problems. Probiotics also help to support digestion and facilitate the absorption of nutrients.
When it comes to probiotics you have the option to use some foods like yogurts, kefir, kombucha, fermented milk or to go in for supplements. Just be careful with supplements. You want to get natural products from reliable suppliers. My advise is to look into Flourish Probiotics by Eu Natural.
Try avoiding alcohol, coffee, chili food and drink lots of water. You should be alright
