Hi all. I have been on mebervine for two years and it's fine. I have now been prescribed slow release mebeverine. Has anyone else tried this. The GP said it works better for IBSD. Thanks xx

Found merbeverine helpful but the cause of my problem was mainly food intolerances such as wheat rye barley maize rice, banana, egg, most dairy. Had the test through Alphega chain of chemists - it was a finger prick test fed through a smart meter. A new test from Germany. The HRT drugs too might be affecting your hormone levels. I take fibre gel now sometimes, and find this helps preventing the runs. I also take a co co codomol if needed, which helps as well if there is pain. May be this test will help - it ahs changed my life!
