Hi I have ibs but recently I've been waking up u the morning with what is trapped wind whereas before it was worse in evening. Does anyone else get this upon waking?

Trapped wind & a swollen abdomen (can look & feel as if I'm pregnant with an elephant!) are a couple of symptoms I can relate to, mostly during the evening but occasionally on waking. I've found that "Senocalm IBS relief" can be effective & peppermints ("Trebor extra strong"), eaten during the evening seem to help. I also drink some sort of ginger cordial, although ginger capsules are good if you don't like the taste as they are taken straight down! My system then often will "gurgle" & finally start to expel the wind - not always pleasant, alas, but such relief!

For me it was probiotics that helped. basically as I found out, these friendly bacteria help to improve digestion and gut health.
