Lower right abdominal twinges

Hi, I'm new here and hoping somebody can put my mind at rest over some changes to my ibs symptoms. I was diagnosed over 20 years ago and I'm sure like most on here, have learnt what to look out for when an ibs flare up rears its ugly head. My trigger is usually food related so I stear clear of the foods that bring on an attack, but my usual symptoms are a stomach cramps and d & c. My issue here is that for the past two weeks, I've had a stitch like twinge/ache which fluctuates between my lower right abdomen up to my waist. It comes and goes throughout the day but I don't have any other symptoms at all and feel well in myself. I've read that these twinges can be a sympton of ibs but as it's unusual for me, I was wondering if anyone else experiences this? I'm in two minds whether to make an appointment with the GP just in case it's something else, but I do know that they tend to jump on ibs once they know someone has had it. I experience this. Sometimes it feels like it could be muscular related. But most often it is just random jabs. I did go to the doctor about it and they never ended up finding the cause.

Please get it checked .. I experienced stomach pain for a number of weeks and kept putting it off until it became unbearable and it ended up being Appendicitis .. I had the operation in December .. I am a sufferer of IBS but these pains did feel different and more piercing .. I felt rather unwell for a while too
