Hi, I've recently experienced some stool changes and some bloating. Sorry for posting the photo but I really don't know how better to describe it and see if anyone else is experiencing the same... ive been experiencing it for maybe 1/2 month now but ever since I moved to the US a few months ago, my stomach has experienced discomfort. When I went to visit my home country for Christmas, the symptoms disappeared and when I came back the symptoms were bck too. Anyone experience the same thing????

It could be changes in your diet but the "fuzz" on your stool is mucus which occurs naturally in your large intestine(colon) and lines it to make the stool slide along and out easier.

Your stool appears to be very compacted. You mentioned a big transatlantic move. I believe part of your bowel changes are a result of the stress of being in a foreign country. We may speak the same language, give or take, but our cultures are vastly different. Also, our water is different, which means everything you consume that has been grown in the US or that you cook using water will have different properties, ie minerals and bacteria. Additionally, the UK is an island of low altitude. It's quite likely you've moved to an area of higher altitude. You may not be aware of the difference but your body is. It may require a long period of adjustment or forms of relaxation, such as an exercise routine, to lessen your stress level. What I'm getting at is that you're most likely having a physical or emotional (or a combination of the two) response to your move. A drastic life change like that can be overwhelming.

I've had that before, I'm not sure what causes it. My guess for you is that your not use to the food in America. People from different cultures can't really process our food very well much like Native American's systems can't actually digest alcohol so they get drunk instantly. Your poop should change according to climate and food. Since I'm a native born American I'm not sure what's causing mine. I hope that helps a little.

Mine looks like that and i have Proctitis, its mucus in the poop. If it continues it could be that.

Thank you so much my friend. I finally figured whats wrong with me. My symptoms are too mild for Colitis. Proctitis make so much sense!
