Have you tried any prescribed medications, or have talked to a Gastro? Have you had any testing for pelvic floor dysfunction? Or Spinchter muscle or Procogram test as to why you are having incomplete movements? Have you been diagnosed with anything..IBS-C, etc? Sometimes over the counter laxatives while good, may not be the best for long term use for chronic C. Maybe a stimulant laxative with a couple cups of strong coffee might help a bit if nothing else does. Senna is really good, with black coffee, no cream, Stevia sweetener. What laxatives are you currently taking? Are you on Opiods or other medication that may cause constipation? Have you tried stool softeners or Fiber supplements to soften your stool? What about maybe asking about a prescribed medication that will help with more formed stool, regularity, and more complete movements such as Linzess, Amitiza, Relistor or Trulance?
IBS is very strange and different in everybody, but I get exactly the same as you not so severe but chronic constipation with non stop chronic low intensity abdominal cramping.
I get small lumpy incomplete stool with gas and especially when I wake up in the mornings. Nothing really helps, I wonder whether it is actually constipation, or the food eaten is not well digested and when it gets to the colon the colon struggles to break it down causing gas and gas pain. My GI consultant says I just need to use more and more laxatives to clear my bowel, but it doesn't help my symptoms.
Tried Magnesium, Enzymes and laxatives don't help, they just gives loose watery stools with no effect on gas and pain.
I recently tried this Chinese feiyan tea and it causes cramp but helped to improve my bowel motion, but of course no effect on gas. I have resisted using anti-depressants because of drowsiness and other side effects.
Still considering whether I should slowly introduce Fybogel back to my diet.
Would like to also hear from anyone with IBS-C, who is in constant low intensity abdominal cramp with gas.
