Hi can you please recommend probiotics that help with IBS D?
There’s quite a few on the market and I would rather go with something tried and tested.
Thanks!

Morning. My hubby saw a private GI consultant a few weeks ago. He said the best probiotic on the market is Symprove. He said it wasn’t cheap, he was not wrong there. On his web page it says he has done a lot of work with probiotics. Hubby is in hospital now so haven’t had a chance to try it yet. It is available on Amazon.
I am in the US. I take VSL-3. It was recommended by my doctor. It is pricey and must be kept refrigerated. Hard to tell if it helps or not.
Take a good probiotic: I would recommend Alflorex. (precisionbiotics.com/uk) and take Silicol: (silicol.co.uk). Use the probiotic once a day and the Silicol 2 to 3 times a day, before meals. Keep up this regime for a least 3 months and see if there is any improvement. You can continue with the probiotic and Silicol without any long-term problems. This is my regime and works wonders.
