When is best to take ibuprofen

Hi all i have been reading a recent post about travelling and taking ibuprofen which seems the best thing to do and most on here advise it. My question is when do you think i should take it? I need to leave by 6 in the morning this Friday. It is crossing my mind about whether it might be better to take late the night before at bedtime so it has kicked in by the morning. Or should i wait till the morning. Any ideas or thoughts please.

If you have any type of ibs or stomach issues ibuprofen is a big NO! It iritates the stomach and can/will makes symptoms worse.

Ibuprofen causes me terrible / extreme problems with d - my gastro consultant said it shouldn't be taken by those with bowel issues . Do you mean Imodium - if so that can be taken as a preventative measure I would say give it a good hour or so before travel and start with one and take more only if necessary. Good luck

If your not bothered about using a brand name(imodium) look out for loperamide, its exactly the same and prices start at 89p for 6 tablets. I only take it in a real emergency as it can bung you up a bit too much, I use buscopan(hyocine butylbromide) as it slows everything down and releaves cramping.
