Anadin and IBS

hey I have pi-ibs (post infectious) and i had a bad headache so i took 1 anadin tablet (caffeine and aspirin) which supposedly helps the headache. don’t get me wrong my headache cleared up but my stomach began to churn and i became very bloated and in a lot of discomfort. has this happened to anyone else or any clues why this happened? thanks everyone

I have exactly the same condition - pi IBSd. If I drink one cup of coffee in the morning with food, I am OK. If I have a second cup, say 1-2 hours later, I have exactly the same symptoms as you describe. Drink coffee only with food and don't get more caffeine than you are normally used to.

cheers, not really a coffee drinker but i guess the caffeine is the lethal part. thanks for the help

Doesn't aspirin cause stomach issues? I am sure someone recommended to me to never take aspirin or ibuprofen with existing stomach issues or IBS as it can make them worse. I have both.

i was never told that (from what i can remember anyway) but i guess i found out the hard way😂
