Alcohol

So I don't usually drink, various reasons one being my ibs. Haven't had a drink since October, last night I had three white wine and sodas. Felt fine at the time, not drunk or anything. But this morning my bowels are regretting it! Tummy ache, d, feeling nauseous. That's me 100% t-total now I think. It's just not worth it!

It may not be the alcohol as much as the wine. I find wine especially white wine way too acidic where as I can drink cider or brandy with no problems.

Interesting. Don't like cider but I suppose I could try a different tiple next time. Won't be for ages though. Probably xmas or my birthday in October. Cheers 🍻

At least stay 100% away from soda

Why is soda water bad? Is it cos of the fizz?

It’s not bad per se but I have read that it is advisable to stay away from carbonated beverages if you suffer from ibs. I guess it is because of the fizz, as you said.
