I've woken up shaking, feeling awful and had to rush to loo with a bad bout of diarrhoea. Is shaking linked to bouts of IBS D? Please help as I'm really concerned especially as to why I'm shaking so much!

Woken up shaking feeling sick and rushing to loo with bad D, what's wrong with me?
Hi Emmy. Sorry your not feeling too great. But yes I would say shaking is a very common thing with ibs.I have that and it can be so violent it’s frightening. The one thing that I think that is helping me is cyclazine anti sickness tablets. It may sound silly , but I suffer badly with nausea too So was prescribed these tablets to help. Must say they have helped me a lot.I have noticed that the shaking and nausea have reduced greatly.Look into it ,it might be worth a try.Good luck and I hope you feel better very soon.
Thanks for your quick response, really appreciate that. It is frightening isn't it?! How do you calm yourself down? I used to take cyclisine however it gave me a headache, good for the nausea however
Hi again Sorry for delay....been shopping at Holland & Barrett! The only way I try to calm down is to lay down and put a cool flannel on my forehead, but mostly I just ride it out.I find sipping aired water sometimes helps too. Sorry I’m not much help.I wish you well
