Hi, has anyone in the UK had a comprehensive stool analysis done? If so please could you tell me who you used? Also do they explain if certain bacteria are low and how to correct this? I would like to do one but also have help understanding the results and fixing things after

Go To to your doctor ask for a test even offering to pay ,ask about seeing no a dietitian try to make them understand how your life is being effected and the depression caused by this is affecting your family life as well as work etc . I found that nobody takes you seriously and you struggle through , But you must persevere and push the doctor as then you can be sure of having the right test and get the best advice , when you offer to pay it also helps !.

I am not in the UK, but I've had stool analysis done twice. I had IBS forever. It was for parasites, bacteria, fungus and fats. I had a microscopic parasite. All the other tests were normal. I got treated for the parasite. My stool changed for awhile after that before it eventually (and finally!) normalized. No more IBS, random spasticity. I'm so happy that things are working normally again! Looking back, I must have had that problem for well over 12 years. A few months after treatment I did a second complete test to make sure the treatment worked. It did.
