Right abdominal gurgling!

Hello everyone. This may sound strange but I have recently started having gurgling sounds in my right abdomen. I have problems with constipation and pelvic and abdominal pains plus a new UTI and also have iron deficiency anemia plus other things that need to be diagnosed but i just never have trouble in that specific area! Does anyone else experience this at all and do you know why? I don't know if it is my kidneys affecting my colon cause of UTI or just something else!

I used to get a lot of these symptoms, a lot could be related to the constipation. There's plenty of ways to help this including increasing stomach acid. That helps for me. Re the UTI, I sometimes get this with certain foods. Happy to share more details, but maybe PM me if you want more info.

Thank you I hadn't thought of that. I had stopped taking a medication that lowered stomach acid but I have had chronic constipation for over 4 years. I will PM you for further info!

I get a lot of gurgling squeaking whistling etc and I've found that cutting out high fodmap foods helped within first week. Check out the NHS website where they give lists of high and low fodmap foods. Hope it helps ☺

Hi jilly, I go through this also it is most uncomfortable

also painfull bloating.

Can you recommend anything to help.

Hi Michele I too have very uncomfortable bloating but have been unable to get any advice from all my hospital visits regarding this particular aspect of the journey. I feel like Im carrying a bowling ball around my abdominal area whether I eat and especially when I have a drink of tea or water ! sorry I cant offer any help at this time, perhaps someone else on the forum can ?

I am suffering exactly the same way at the moment IBS Daily followed by bloatedness taking tablets at the moment hoping they will help a little.

Have to see the Doctor on Wednesday for a review have been told by Lloyds Chemist there used to be something that you could by over the counter but they have stopped that now and you can only get it on prescription so to ask my doctor about it but apparently it is good stuff and really does help.

Will let you know what it is when I have found out from my doctor.

Hi Michele I have just read a reply on a bloating query and they said avoid carbs so a reduction of those would certainly be worth a try.

Thank you so much for that. I have tried to monitor my diet from foods that upset my bowels but had just stopped so this infor is helpful.

everyone is different so just trial and error - Ive cut out dairy and this seems to have helped me and also take peppermint capsules from holland and barret every morning and afternoon before a meal it certainly helps the pain of digesting (seems to relax the gut) no harm done worth trying see if it works for you . cant seem to stop the bloating I just feel blown up whether eating or not - am booked in for a CT scan this afternoon so quite anxious.

Hopefully the CT scan went alright. I have been struggling for 6 months to get one for my liver but to no avail at all. Yeah I agree with the trial and error I'm going to look into that with the FODMAP info to try and see what foods effect me or not. Thanks for your reply!
