Do you take any remedies for bloating, such as peppermint oil capsules or ginger root capsules? I find these quite effective. Peppermint eases intestinal spasms, as does the ginger, and the ginger also decreases wind and nausea. Buscopan is the medicine option for anti-spasm. From your symptoms, you might be having trouble with your digestion, which can stem from not having enough good bacteria, low stomach acid and/or low secretion of digestive enzymes. You might feel relief from probiotics, lemon juice to ready the stomach acid for digestion, and digestive enzymes.

Lots of soluble fibre and water can help to ease urgency and cramps, I've found it works for me.

Have you considered a blood test? It's a safe thing to check for other causes of your symptoms if they've been going on this long. You can have a blood test to check for levels of inflammation, which can help doctors figure out if you have chron's or colitis without the camera.

I hope I've given you some things to consider that will help you work out what's going on right now, I really hope you feel better soon.

High I'm going to ask about the blood test though my dad had colitis then he had bowel cancer and now had a colostomy my flare up has started easing off a bit but that could be because I'm to afraid to eat but the bloating is still annoying it feels like I'm 9mths pregnant most of the time I'm definitely going to try the peppermint and ginger thank you

Definitely get some blood tests done, rules a few things out. But don't be scared of a colonoscopy it's not that bad. I had one done and didn't take any sedation or pain meds and it was a bit painful but not too bad. It's better to rule stuff out so if dr recommends it get it done. The worst part of the colonoscopy for me was the taste of the drink they give to clear you out, yuk!

For now try probiotics and peppermint. Don't cut out gluten till you've had the blood test for coeliac because you have to be eating gluten for that to show up on a blood test.

Good luck!
