Hi everyone I need understanding on this. For the past 4 days I have had very sharp pain around and on my rib area. I could lay down and feel my chest completely constricted. Breathing has been a bit of work but it feels shallow.
Cancer, heart disease, and diabetes runs in my family.
I have had 2- 30 day heart monitors because of the palpitations but I'm told they Are mild or normal.
I'm so frustrated because I am a stay at home mother. There is no reason for this pain. It didn't doesn't make sense

I've had pain in my ribs with IBS but never difficulty with breathing, I would go back to your GP and insist that they look further as this doesn't sound right.
What is IBS. I repeatedly went to my PCP and I'm seeing a new cardiologist I'm January hopefully they find something because I know something isn't right. It feels like my heart beats then some air goes through. My doctor says that the EKG keeps coming back fine and I told them.... This is not fine. I've had heart murmer since elementary school and born with murmer. Something is wrong and I'm only 25 I shouldnt have this happening.
IBS is Irritable Bowel Syndrome and this is that forum. If you have a look at Health Unlocked you will see that there are other forums, have a look at them and you may find one which matches what you are looking for i.e. heart health etc. You can have either IBS C (constipation) or IBS D (diarrhoea) or alternate between the two.
I agree with you that this shouldn't be happening as something clearly is not right.
Have you had your gallbladder checked out? I had unusual pains and mine turned out to be that. (They did CT scans, ultrasounds, blood and urine tests. Only thing that showed something was a HIDA scan.)
So I just wanted to update everyone. I have results of what caused these horrible symptoms; I have pneumonia, it got into my lungs. I'm on antibiotics now. I'm slightly better but still not feeling great. Thanks to everyone who replied and cared 💗
