For the past 3-4 weeks I have had diarrhea with severe stomach pain/cramping. Basically, I tried all sorts of different types of food. What I have discovered is that when I am at home, trips to the toilet are not so often. However, when I am at work, I am a cleaner, my diarrhea is bad and it is embarrassing because I can't just rush to the toilet in a clients home. I think it is worse when I return after lunch, even a light lunch, and I am bending picking stuff up and generally bending up and down. This has never happened before. I have seen the doctor and said I though I could have ibs she asked if I was bloated etc I said my mum had noticed me looking like i was pregnant and that I feel full after eating. She just explained what ibs was and how the bowels work but no suggestion of what to do.
Does this sound like ibs?
Thanks

It certainly could be but your doctor should be offering you tests, they can't tell by just looking at you. It may be something else but until you are tested you won't know. I had a Colonoscopy and Endoscopy and the tests were clear that's when I was diagnosed.
