Serious issue with constipation. Have to relay on laxatives 2 to 3 times per week.

Anyone out there with advice, please!

Excellent info and I think that you've nailed my possible problem "RIGHT ON!"

In 7/9/09 I was diagnosed with Prostate Cancer. Seeds were implanted and 45 doses of radiation given.

Dec of 09-Cancer free but seeds will always remain.

Can you supply with the full name of the constipation relief package and where I purchase it.

My long annoying problem may soon be resolved.

Thank you- KEN

I think it's what is known as neurogenic bowel disorder if damage has occurred to the mechanisms that trigger peristalsis.

So people with Parkinson's, MS and connective tissue diseases such as Sjögren's get this problem but also some of those who have had chemo. All you can do it speak to your doctor and ask for prescription laxatives such as Laxido which you can take with Senna. It's really important to keep taking these daily even after you've been. I find avoiding foods full of roughage or bulk and gluten is important too because they only make it worse if the cause of slow transit is neurogenic not IBS. Low Fodmap diet helps and its important to drink loads of water throughout the day.

Unfortunately, LAXIDO isn't allowed to be shipped into Hungary, where I live!

Have to find another product!

You need to take a high amount of magnesium citrate or oxide. About 800 to 1200mg. I have had Ibs c almost my whole life and am now in my fifties. This is the best natural supplement to take for this condition and I have tried many. Even my consultant recommended it. I take it every day. You must take it on an empty stomach just before bed with lots of water. I would start with a high dose initially just to clear you out. Even if it means taking a few capsules. I sometimes take 6 200mg capsules. Capsules are the best not tablets and it has to be citrate or oxide as these are the ones that work for constipation. There is a lot of information about constipation and magnesium on the internet. The ones I take are either Now foods Magnesium citrate, Solgar Magnesium Citrate or Life extensions. I get mine from the US on a site called iHerb, but you can get them on Amazon. There are other magnesium oxide products specifically for colon cleansing called Mag 07, Colosan and Oxypowder. They are a bit expensive but are amazing. I use these in between. No cramps no bloating, just relief. You can get these on Amazon as well. Don't suffer any longer.
