Poop question

Wired question to start the morning but when doctors say is your poop black and tarry do they mean pure black like liquorice or really dark shade of brown

Personally I would think they mean pure black , it can make you question what they mean when you come home after been asked these kinds of questions , I always start doubting did I get it right

But if I were asked that is what I think they were meaning but just my opinion

Thankyou it's just I had to ring 111 about my antibiotics and they made my poop dark but not black and they was asking is my bowel movements black and tarry

Sometimes antibiotics can change the colour of your stools and give you a upset stomach

I think if they were black and tarry you would know the difference even once asked a question we start doubting after

Upon reading on another site, black and tarry was likened to black tar like consistency and colour (like what roofers sometimes use). I have not experienced black tar- like stools so I can only go by what I have read

You made me look at poop pictures....pitch black they are. Not dark. Black.
