Just had virtual colonoscopy, was so painful, wasn't expecting that. Think it was all the air, nurse said it could press on vesa vagel nerve(think that's how u spell it!). Got to wait 2 to 3 weeks for results, nerve wracking! Anyone else find it painful? Worried it means there's something wrong. I'm a born worrier! 😱

Virtual colonoscopy pain
Hi there Booth,
Mine was pretty awful too. Lots of gas - I thought I was going to explode. I felt as if I was going to die. But I didn't. And I was glad I had it done.
At least you will know just what (if anything) is going on clinically. And just to reassure you, often it's "just IBS".

Most painful ever nearly screamed with it!They gave me something for the pain but not early enough and only buscopan which always increase my spasms,Was suggested due to adhesions
Pain was really bad when I was lying on my back, but ok on my front, what does that mean? Is that a bad sign? Felt not enough info given about what to expect during procedure and after. I'm still suffering with rumbles and loo dashes 🙁
Just had one too and it was terribly painful. I couldn't let the nurse fully inflate. The doctor saw the image and said it was fine as it was. Phew. Mind you I do my regular colonoscopy with just slight pain meds. Not fully under. I can't imagine doing this again unless I was knocked out. I also agree that it was worse on my back.
