Hi I know how you are feeling, most of the above applies to me. Except the Quorn, but I am unable to have any dairy as well, so it is tough but I have lived with this condition for over thirty years, what I concentrate on is the things that I can have and improve on them! So try not to dispair there is always hope!! LG.x.
Hi, I don't take Lemsip so not sure about that one and haven't had antibiotics in years. A few of the other things you have mentioned i.e. garlic, onions, mushrooms, quorn, fresh bread, fresh doughnuts, cookies you cannot eat on the FODMAP diet but you can eat a small amount of cornflakes i.e. half a cup. I'm surprised at the
mashed or jacket potato as you can eat these on the FODMAP diet, feta is also included on the diet though that does surprise me.
I don't seem to be able to tolerate dairy very well so am now buying Lactose free products. I don't know all of my triggers yet but am working on it.
i noticed something weird with me ...fresh bread can't tolerate it ..but processsed packed bread that has a preservative is fine for me !! fresh chicken can't eat it ..but canned chicken with preservatives ( without vinagar or extra oil just brine water ) does NOT harm me !! i'm trying to figure out what is the connection between preserved food versus fresh food in my IBS-D condition trying to connect the dots together to discover why is this happening to me ?!!🤔🤔
That's strange. I guess everyone has overlapping triggers plus a few more that other people are fine with. I also notice certain veg I am fine with but if they are fried it's a no .
I have problems with cabbage, broccoli, garlic, onions, chutney, spicy food, mustard, ryvitas, muesli and stress sets things off as well.
also I find that bell peppers set me off as well and also fruit juice and cocktails and alcohol.
