Yes gluten free foods can be expensive but there are many things which you can eat which are naturally gf it just takes a bit of effort to look at the labels, especially if you want to cut it out completely. But if you are hoping for your gp to send you for a coeliac screen then you do need to be consuming gluten containing foods.
Hi there, I agree with Lisa below in that gluten free foods are expensive. I have bought gluten free flour to make my own bread and also buy gluten free oats from Aldis, certainly not as expensive there as other stores although dearer than normal oats. Oats do contain a certain amount of gluten naturally. I also agree that you should go to your GP to rule out anything else other than IBS.
What did you eat? Anything with nitrates will flush out of me in 1/2 hour. Nitrates are in lunch meat ,hot dogs and ham etc. they make uncured meats that are cured by celery salts and some of those I can eat. So check out the foods and eliminate them if possible might be nitrates.
