Hope some one can help I am nearly 54 had urine infection in May left it for awhile but finally treated with antibiotics . Since then I have an urge to wee most of the time but do not have any incontinence.
For the last 4 weekends I would get bad chills feel shaky, then would start weeing lots then would get a very bad bout of IBS , feeling my intestines have stopped working feel a bit sick then off my food. The IBS would settle down but would feel shaky and have chills all week like I have the flu. Had the same thing on Friday went to out of hours GP on Saturday do not have a UTI but dip test positive for nitrates. While having IBS flare up no urge to wee. symptoms better today but urge is back. Have appointment with urology next month and trying bladder training pelvic floor exercises. Have been unable to go to a few social events. I feel depressed and just want to be myself again.

Wow this is the first person who has mentioned the bladder thing. Thank you as I have been going crazy wondering if the two are connected. I am woken in the night with pain in my stomach (always happens). I also have to pee. When I pee the pain eases greatly. But the thing which has caught me most about your post is the chills. They are awful and
travel up my back around my kidney area. I just wonder if the two are linked. Been on Fodmap for months now which has eased a lot of the acid reflux but the main problem still continues.
I feel chilled all over like a virus feeling it today managed to eat yesterday not hungry today still have a slight urge to wee . I know I must drink but hate the urge . Have another GP appointment today, think I am so anxious about every thing and worried that its not going to go away. I don't think it helps.
Hi, antibiotics strip your gut of good bacteria if you can try taking a pre or probiotic to but back the good bacteria. I have a diary intolerence and I get flu like symptoms an feel shacky when i eat something with any diary products in, worth thinking about is it a food that causes your symptons.
Dont know if this will help. I am 83, but still working part time, so I have to stay healthy. I have several things I do. First, sometimes, the reports come back 'negative' when we actually still have some infection there. It is due to the 'automated ' labs like Quest and lab Corp. To get really good results, one has to use the pathology labs and sometimes insurance wont pay for these. I always have gotten accurate results from these I call 'path' labs. Also, I immediately start drinking 1 tsp. apple cider vinegar with 1 8 oz. glass of water. I sip this all day and it does reduce symptoms. Don't eat sugar when trying to get over a urinary track infection because sugar increases the bacteria for the infection. Eat lots of fresh fruits and vegetables. Juice also with carrot, celery and apple, delicious. It helps my situation. Keep body pure and clean as possible when fighting an infection anywhere. I was able to get over bacterial Endocarditis this way, using 75% of my food every day - as raw as possible, no sugar, no soft drinks, lemon water, and lots of fresh, always fresh. It may not work for you but it does for me. Good luck, stay well as possible.
Hi, Oh my gosh! That's awful! I dealt with those awful symptoms too. I found some serious relief with these two products that really helped a TON! ProBio5 and BioCleanse....really turned it around for me. Here's the link if you're interested: shopmyplexus.com/bethcurley Good luck to you!!
