I gave up fruit for three days last week and noticed a huge improvement in my symptoms (flatulence, bloating). On the fourth day I decided to have a couple medium sized oranges and what do you know, symptoms came back. It's now been three days since and I'm feeling a lot better. However, I can not go without fruit for much longer. I'm curious to know, if anyone here has a Fructose intolerance, how did you go about avoiding fruit temporarily then re-introducing it back into your diet? What fruits do you like to eat?
Cheers

Yes, I have had fructose intolerance for years. It all started with apples when I was a kid. Some fruit has a higher fructose level than others. Summer berries are generally better tolerated. I find I can have a small ripe banana (Google fructose levels in fruit). Particularly bad ones for me are pears, melon, apples - but everyone has different tolerance levels, so you need to test for yourself and what you find you digest best.
Particularly watch serving sizes and test. You may find that if you have one orange, you will be fine, but 2 is too much. Likewise you may be able to have 4 or 5 strawberries, but not as well as an orange.
