i need some advice, i have been given a fodmap from my doctor, which i have started working on as i was on holiday for a few days and haven't planned my meals.
However i am still in a lot of pain which hits the lower back and legs and leaves me struggling to walk. i have just heard today that my Gluten/lactose/ and lack of vitamin D has come back normal no further action, i'm still feeling very sick and have had to upted my pain relief which has resulted in me upting my laxatives, which is giving me severe diarrhoea. After a day out and about i get terribly exhausted and just want to sleep all the time, when i do get into bed to sleep i find myself tossing and turning before i get comfortable.
i'm in a horrible vicious circle at the moment and need to get out of this rut.
Has anyone got any additional advice if the tests have come back clear, if i don't sort myself out i feel i will end up damaging my bowel with the meds.
Thanks everyone

I went down a very similar hole to the one you're in, and I managed to get out of it without taking medication.
For some short-term relief:
I don't know if you live in the UK, but Puressential do a great joints roller (available in Boots and Superdrug I think). It's got essential oils in it. if you run it up and down your legs and lower back you should get some short-term relief.
For the nausea, salt and vinegar crisps may give you some relief now (ginger is supposed to, but made me feel worse). They are obviously not a good long-term solution. Otherwise try to keep away from processed foods and go for simple, home cooked stuff. Potatoes and carrots can help calm down your gut. If you get constipated, try magnesium: sickofibs.com/ibs-symptoms/...
Have you looked into SIBO? If you have nausea, you may just have it.
