I Morine Barnes is constipated I cannot talk to people and they cannot talk to me nothing works. My parents Kathleen Smiley and Renell Barnes bought bought me up on cod liver oil, Brooklax and Virol when necessary. My diet was full of fibre fruit, salad and vegetables. I exercise daily and drink plenty of water. Dr RB Chitre as prescribed me Bisacodyl 5mg 2 nightly they do not work nothing does. I get wind and small amount of stools. I perservere with remedies and hope for the best day after day. I was advised I would need an operation nobody would want to perform or go through if I do not empty my bowels regularly stressful. Morine Barnes 57.

I'm a colonic therapist. Used to go once a week and colonics sorted me out so I then trained as s nutritionist and colonic therapist. If you want some info let me know.

You probably got DIVERTICULOSIS but I cant think for the life-of-me why someone wont opperate-my neighbor has had the opp and she is 79 years old and she is fine now !

Hidden What operation is there? I have asked my doctors and they always say it could make it worse. I AM in US.

Thank you

in reply to

she has had the trapped part of bowel removed; she was in agony so they had no choise but to opperate; and it had caused an urnia, which protruded throu her abdomen too.

Thx. For reply. I think I am constipated not diverticulosis. Worth investigating through my GP. I think it is STRESS and anxious to empty my bowels. It is taking bisacodyl nightly and waiting days not normal. It is a worry I cannot ignore.

Have you had a colonoscopy ?

No.

Maybe ask your doctor for a hospital referral to have a colonoscopy which could determine if you have any type of bowel disease

@-bisacodyl

If you are suffering, go to the ER. THEY may order a colonoscopy for you. I stayed in the hospital overnite and they gave me one. It was quicker than prepping at my house.

@ bisacodyl...Please have the colonoscopy first. Please take all tests to rule out, colitis, chrons disease, etc.

Go to the doctor asap.

Good luck

I went through much the same regime as you when I was a child, leading to numerous 'accidents' when the laxatives eventually kicked in. You may find glycerin or bisacodyl (Dulcolax) suppositories help which you can buy at supermarkets and pharmacies. Also the practice nurse at your GP surgery will be able to give you advice.
