Unusual pain

I have pain above my pubic bone and to the left. It's like a stabbing pain and emptying my bowels and passing gas is painful and I'm needing to urinate frequently.

I have diverticular disease but the pain is usually higher up on the left and more servers during a flare.

Is it ibs pain or something more?

Cystitis perhaps,get a urine test

Drink cranberry juice or lemon barley water

No other symptoms that you get with cystitis, no burning pain etc and also pain isn't constant, only when gas etc passes

Yeah, sounds familiar. I've also diverticular disease. I used to think is was a urine infection but when I used dip sticks to test it was clear. Others on this site have mentioned bladder frequency in this situation. I assume the distended bowel presses on the bladder and causes this. Seems to come and go depending on how irritated the bowel is.
