Yes and recently been tested.  Unfortunately it came back as negative for me but worth going to your doctor to get a pot for a stool sample to be tested.  I say it was unfortunate for me as I read an article on this website from an American Doctor that she cured her IBS by self medicating (obviously she is a doctor so able to do this) with antibiotics.  If I had been diagnosed with H Pylori then I would have been put on 3 courses of different antibiotics.

Hi - I developed gastritis a couple of years ago and about a year was identified as having h Pylori infection. I had one round of antibiotics and felt amazing afterwards! The gastritis cleared up and so did the IBS to a certain extent but not for very long.

This past few months the gastritis returned and now I’m on ranitidine twice daily - 150mg. It works !! My IBS has also settled too. I was re-checked for h Pylori infection but it came back clear.
