Currently I can only eat small meals (a bowl of cereal in the morning, a snack or two for lunch then half a wrap or 1/3 of a cooked meal for tea).
I don't eat after 6pm, but at night around 1-2am I wake up with very bad nausea, feeling really hot and what feels like bloating. After I sit up and let the trapped wind work it's way out I get very sleepy and go to bed.
When I wake up the next day, sometimes it's harder to eat, like my insides are burnt.
Barely eating at all seems to help and after a few days I seem ok during the day and can eat slightly bigger meals, but then it happens again.
I'm sort of constipated, but since I'm barely eating, there isn't much food to go through me.
I've lost nearly a stone in weight. My doctor gave me Fibogel for the constipation and I had a round of blood and urine tests, but everything came up fine.
I'm attempting a low FODMAPS diet where I can, but since I'm loosing weight I'm really worried about cutting out things that might make me thinner. Sometimes a chocolate bar is all I can manage.
I have another Doctors appointment today, but I'm not very confident they will find anything.

Try and get to a dietician if you can! I was EXACTLY the same and basically had to take calorie supplements until i could eat properly again, i dropped all the way to 7 1/2 stone last summer, it was awful!! I still suffer from the constipation and am not able to eat a whole lot but seeing a dietician really helped me Low fodmaps didnt do anything for me personally, maybe look into cutting out dairy and gluten if you havent already? its a good starting point
I'm having trouble getting anything larger that most of a small plate down me. Does you have any suggestions of nutritious food that can be eaten in small amount?
I worry that the acid in fruit might be a bit much for my stomach but I could certainly try and eat some more small salads.
I've had a lactose test done a few years ago and that came back fine. The doctor wants me to have a gluten test done next.
The FODMAPS helped me, but I had other intolerances that showed up (corn and it's products is the major one), so it's really good to keep a food diary. I survived FODMAPS by eating a lot of congee - if you can tolerate rice. It's essentially a savory watery rice gruel, you can add fish, meat or egg and any veg you can tolerate - I like green onion tops, bok choy, spinach, etc. It can be seasoned with any seeds, nuts, oils or gluten free soy sauce. It's filling, and if you add enough veg and protein you'll get some nutrients in. You can also make the stock out of boiled bones for extra nutrients and to avoid FODMAPS in commercially prepared bases.
Also, do you exercise? I find gentle yoga or running is great for expelling gas.
It really sounds like a 'food' problem, Kirby... must be a real bummer to go through that... Not sure where you live, but if you live in the US, you could drink energy, calorie drinks such as Ensure or Boost. They are a bit pricy, but the store brands are just as good and somewhat less expensive. I know they must have the same in the UK with a different name. Good luck to you! I do hope you can visit with a dietician.
I would ask you doctor to see a nhs nutritionist as a starting point they can be really helpful, don't give up on the doctor as it's really important that you get the right help if you don't have a good doctor change them,it can be really confusing which way to turn with these things.I think your doing the right thing eating small meals but it's possible something is upsetting your gut.
