During a flare up, do you get sharp pains in your legs/finger tips at all? I get sharp stabbing pains in my abdomen but that's normal. In addition to this, just feel out of breath/a little sick/headaches like there's no tomorrow? Any help or similar situations would be great

I wish it was just a cold or flu but I've recognised a pattern as to when they arise (usually around the time I'm due on, makes having a period so much worse)! Aw, it sucks being ill but fingers crossed you get better soon!x

Have to say all your symptoms are exactly like mine...they occur at night when the 'dreaded cramps' strike too... just have to grin and bear it... I've been prescribed Gaviscon as the ranitidine was really no use... that helps with the reflux...

Yeah! Mine usually are throughout the entire day which makes work a little worse however getting into bed is so nice! You're definitely right with the "grinning and bearing it" though! Have you tried getting into a regular exercise regime? I exercise before work 3-5 times a week and feel great after, it's supposed to be really help the symptoms!

I get the out of breath/nausea/headaches every time I have constipation. I have alternating IBS C and D. I have t found anything to resolve that I'm afraid. Just wait until it goes away!

Hi. I get a lot of the same symptoms too. Aching legs, shaky, nausea, headache, dizzy when I need to go to loo sometimes. Also stabbibg pains. They are all much worse when period due too. I had a scan because of groin/leg pain but ovaries looked fine. I have very low ferritin levels which I blame some of the symptoms on. Hope this helps.

Please may I ask how you came to the conclusion of having a scan? I have leg pains during a flare up. I thought it was normal but obviously it's good to be wary of possibilities

Hi. Yes I had been having heavy periods and the doctor suggested the groin pain should be checked out. The scan showed normal ovaries but I have a fibroid in the uterus wall. The groin pain worsens when I have a flare up of IBS, I know we have Lymph glands in the groin and I think they react when my bowel is inflamed. I hope this helps. I am a worrier at the best of time, it doesnt help the IBS and vice versa.
