I have IBSc and often feel nauseous - this is often relieved by eating something though cooking and eating is often the last thing I feel like doing. I drink peppermint tea from time to time. Any other ideas?

Hello there I can really sympathise with this ,I experience bouts of nausea too; is there any chance you may have acid reflux? It might be worth seeing your G.P.about this ,I had IBS for about 5 years when I developed acid reflux too. This is the villain of the piece for me, I take Omeprazole which help, and the humble cuppa with half, or even less, of a plain biscuit, is surprisingly helpful. If I don't drink this mid-morning I don't know if I feel sick or hungry come lunchtime!
I haven't tried crystallized ginger. Anything gingery is supposed to be helpful though too much has a laxative effect on me.I it's not one thing it's another with this flippin' IBS!!
Hope you manage to find some relief.
Thanks for that. Yes I do have acid reflux and take Omeprazole(20 mgs) daily. It's usually fixed by eating something but is a nuisance and dulls my usual sparkling personality for a while! I will try the ginger as I have heard its good for nausea also travel sickness pills but they can make you drowsy. Hey ho!
