Breakthrough Seizure After 10yrs - Shocked and Uncertain - What do I do?
I'm being put on
Zonisamide
. 30mg gradually increasing to 300mg daily. I've been reading reviews and it's 50/50. Some swear by it!

He gave us a choice between Lamictal and
Zonisamide
. We chose Lamictal. Again, anyone taken the journey to step outside of the matrix? Thank you in advance. Rick

zonisamide for parkinson's
According to the article it significantly reduces the off-time and also results in the improvement of overall UPDRS score https://parkinsonsnewstoday.com/news/
zonisamide
-for-epilepsy-may-ease-parkinsons-motor-symptoms-study/ I was wondering that this drug (discovered in 1970 in Japan) is much less

Feeling alone and trapped:-(
Cutting the timeline short, after a diagnosis period of 9 months and numerous test I was told it was ‘most likely epilepsy’ and started on
Zonisamide
to control absence seizures.

My situation
I’m currently on
zonisamide
, clobazam & Keppra which I have fully been on for 2 1/2 months. Hadn’t appreciated the possible side effects of Keppra which I experienced & still have moments, having switched from lamotrigine (happy pill feeling).

Hashi's and seizures
I was diagnosed with Hashimoto's after going through a harrowing switch of seizure meds (from
Zonisamide
to Lamictal, and back to
Zonisamide
) which may have been the catalyst for my thyroid issues.

repost marijuana drug interaction article
In adult patients, a significant increase in the serum levels of
zonisamide
(P=.02) and eslicarbazepine (P=.04) was observed with increasing CBD dose. No other drug interactions among the 19 AEDs were noted.

heartburn and indigestion
Hi all, Are any of you on
Zonisamide
? and if so do any of you suffer from heartburn and indigestion in the evenings? I seem to be suffering from this and wondered if it may be related to taking
zonisamide
as the time scale of when i started taking it seems to match when the problem started...

Refractory epilepsy - where do we go from here?
The drug
zonisamide
has been suggested as the next option but in the same breath, our consultant has said it's unlikely to have any benefit. I'm not sure whether our consultant is particularly pessimistic or realistic but I'd like to feel more positive about the future than I currently do.

Anyone take zonisamide?
The neurologist prescribed it yesterday to help mitigate the shaking. However the list of side effects, including "common" and "very common," are terrifying. I don't know which is worse!
